Henceforth: Today is Glamour Day!!

So we did something a little bit crazy today... 

I was walking around the shops minding my own business when I first saw it - needless to say I was over the moon and immediately called Miss.Blonde to come and meet me and see the wonder I had found.. she arrived and we kinda went a bit nuts with excitement (to put it lightly!) I'll spare you the details, but less than 2 minutes after being in the shop, we left because THIS HAPPENED...

Yes you're eyes do not decieve you - that photo is the evidence to show that we bought every single copy of Glamour magazine that was in stock. A little shameful for two people who would normaly quite happily bypass Glamour in favour of Vogue or Elle but speaking on behalf of us both - we are well and truely converted!

Why?  They gave us Benefit Lipgloss, Nails Inc. Varnish and now the queen of all magazines is celebrating their tenth birthday and are giving away a whole collection of Clinique products on the front of the magazine at no extra cost to celebrate.  That's right ladies, make-up addicts and fashion lovers, your skin can now be Clinque soft without the hefty price tag!

So with ten products to try and test out, we're gonna get busy and let you know which ones are the golddust gifts and which ones you should leave on the shelf.

RIP Galliano for Dior...

For those of you who have yet to hear the news that is shaking the fashion world - John Galliano has officially been sacked by Dior!  After being caught on video throwing out incredibly racist and horrific slurred comments (to put it lightly!)  Galliano then topped it off with some seriously harsh anti-semtic remarks.  Needless to say, people were shocked and understandably offended and disgusted- namely Oscar-winning actress,the new face of Mon Dior Cherie Perfume and (most importantly!) my favourite actress and style crush - Miss. Natalie Portman.

 Long story short - even if you are an award winning designer, you don't have the right to treat people disgustingly and insult them whenever you feel like it. Also let's not forget that you don't make remarks that could seriously disgust and insult the face of the label you represent! The Black Swan star has now severed all contact with the designer and refuses to ever work with him again. 

So you've got to think - if you were Dior and you had to chose between the million pound empire and exposure that you will recieve by having the most sought after woman on the planet endorse your product and your chief designer who is absolutely     brilliant, has served you flawlessly for years - but has such a foul mouth and manner that he  can seriously damage your reputation in moments if you keep him... what would you do?

It's a shame really, but Galliano has so much beautiful raw talent, I doubt it will be long before someone snaps him up and he will be transformed from social outcast to the boundry breaking eccentric designer of the decade once more.

And so after 15 glorious years - RIP Galliano for Dior...

So nearly Spring at Topshop!!

Yes, yes I know it is still freezing cold when you wake up every morning and it is most probably pouring down with rain outside right now as I speak - after all this is the UK - but it is so so nearly over! This can mean only one thing... the one and only girls best friend that is Topshop will be overflowing with beautiful soft and light fabrics to strut your stuff in this spring!  Having been tipped over the edge by the amount of celebrities showing off their topshop gems - I am in love! But as I've already stalked the website to serious extremes... I think I might be becoming borderline obssessive.  I mean, is it weird to suddenly imagine the clothes talking to you and giving you a very good argument as to why you should hand over your credit card in exchange for their eternal love?

To celebrate the birthday of my partner in crime, I got busy in the kitchen making a ridiculous amount mess and thankfully a cake that turned out exactly how I pictured it in my slightly bizarre mind!  Seeing as she is a true lover of all things beautiful, girly and sparkly (and with my funds slightly short of the requested Chanel Bag)  I thought she could settle for the next best thing... thats right, a Chanel birthday cake created by yours truely!

Beautiful people caught in a world of sun, love triangles, seriously unrealistic story lines and oh so beautiful clothes - yes 90210 is back in the UK!

Based in Beverly Hills zip code, the gang are now seniors which promises means more drama, bigger hair and wardrobes dripping with designer labels :)  In honour of this, look out in the coming weeks when we will attempt to re-create the looks of our favourite characters at a more High-street postcode!

Attention all Gleeks!

The new series of Glee is fast approaching the UK screens and the amount of seriously famous cameo's are a welcome treat!  But hold your breath - rumour has it that Matthew Morrison (aka Mr. Will Schuester, the teacher every gleek fan has a crush!) has told Glamour Magazine that he wants none other than the English rose Keira Knightly to be the next face to join the Glee club - why?  So he can have an old fashioned smooch with her of course!

Matt gushes: "Oh God, I'm such a sucker for women with British accents... actually I'll go with a Brit because I really like this girl - Keira Knightley... (She should play) the part of the girl who gets kissed by Will Schuester."

Oh to be Nicole Richie!!

My heart seriously skipped a beat when I opened Hello Magazine and saw that style queen Nicole Richie got married to Rock star Joel Madden in not one, not two... but THREE stunningly beautiful Marchesa dresses.   With a Grace Kelly inspired design she looked every inch the fairytale princess in vintage lace, elegant tailoring and the cherry on the top was the happy couple's names entwined delicately on her sleeve.  Remember when viewing the photograph's- envy is not very becoming...  

...oh by the way, did I mention the gold leaf encrusted cake, or that her Dad arranged for her own bejewelled elephant - yes an actual elephant - to greet all of her guests?


Perhaps just a little a hint of jealousy is healthy!
